Charlotte Mensah

Award-winning hairstylist, owner of the Hairlounge Salon and founder of the Charlotte Mensah Manketti Oil product range - Charlotte Mensah has covered amazing ground. An inspiration to stylists, business owners and women worldwide, she’s achieved all this and more through hard work and unwavering self-belief. It also helps that she’s such a genuine, down-to-earth person.

Charlotte trained in the London College of Fashion in the late 80s, perfecting her craft under the guidance of The Godfather of British Afro Hairdressing, the late Winston Isaacs.

Her latest achievement has taken shape through the publishing of her best-selling book, Good Hair in partnership with Penguin. Available here and at all major retailers.

After years of expertise in the haircare field, Charlotte set her sights on building an ever lasting legacy. As founder of the L.O.V.E. Naa Densua charity, her desire is to spread her knowledge of both hair and business as widely as possible. Facilitating the next generation of entrepreneurs to be their own self-sustaining ecosystem.

 

Bashiru Lawal-Shardow

Motivated by an unwavering belief in opportunity, Bashiru coordinates and leads on many of the projects Love Naa Densua undertakes. 

With a background in Product Management and Strategy Consulting - Bashiru is all about ideas, working with the team to refine, iterate and ultimately to lead things to delivery. With a varied career in finance, fintech and all things digital, Bashiru provides focus on how to build L.O.V.E. Naa Densua’s digital footprint to ensure that projects are not only showcased, but to diversify channels of communication to foster collaboration and partnership.

Bashiru joined the L.O.V.E. Naa Densua Foundation through a love of Ghana & Africa, as well as shared desire to democratise opportunity by using his skillset to add value to the amazing work being delivered by the foundation.

Sydney Amoakoh

Drawing from a love for travel and all things creative, Sydney freelances in brand design, graphic illustration and writing - working with brands specifically to expand and showcase the positive changes they create in the world.

She has a background in human rights with focuses on gender, physical and mental health and cultural expression through art. Her work has diversified the scope of voices used to shape projects in higher education, UN policy reform and service industries. Across these initiatives, Sydney has collaborated with non-profits and private brands across 3 continents.

Sydney joined the L.O.V.E. Naa Densua Foundation through shared roots in Ghana, and in an appreciation for the transformative power of education. She contributes design and writing skills for the Foundation’s website, social media, branding and collateral.
